Case:

Steel 40mm. compression case with snap-on back, thick bevelled lugs, plain pushers, case back signed correctly, black rotating Tachymeter bezel, the reference and serial numbers correctly engraved between the lugs.

Dial:

Black dial with 3 silver subsidiaries, polished steel and grooved baton markers with the original lume markers, the dial signed Autavia Heuer Swiss T

Hands:

Steel matchstick hands with original luminous inserts, the chronograph hand with the original cream/white paint, all three sub dials with the original black painted hands.

Movement:

Vajoux 72, manual wind, signed Heuer – Leonidas SA

This lovely Heuer is an exceptionally well-preserved example. The case is unpolished and the chamfered lugs are sharp and stunning, the winder and pushers are original, the bezel is almost unblemished and the dial is in in brilliant condition THE AUTAVIA 2446C The 1st Execution Autavia 2446C came into production in 1968, it was an entirely new Heuer case with thicker chamfered lugs and a snap-on back which made it more waterproof. The present example is the rare 1st execution, which has the plain steel hands and plain baton numerals – the 2nd ex examples being more numerous and having fluted chronograph pushers, additional black/red enamel decoration and red chronograph hand.
